Island Design Natural Hair Salon™ is very knowledgeable in Natural Hair Care. Island Design professionals have recently spoken at West Chester University and Temple University; educating college aged students on Natural Hair Care. In April of 2015, we were featured on FOX 29 News promoting the Philadelphia Natural Hair Show.
We have participated in the Natural Hair Show for the past 2 years and The Lock Conference for the past 15 years. At both conferences Island Design Salon vends products, speaks to the public and models the newest Natural Hair Styles. Island Design Salon was also featured in the Natural Woman Online Magazine 2015 Summer Edition. Most recently, Island Design Natural Hair Salon was also featured in a documentary video of the salon. Lorraine became a connoisseur in natural hair techniques through her training at Wilfred Beauty Academy, receiving her license in Cosmetology and Taliah Waajid seminars where she received additional training in braiding, locking and hair weaving. Island Design SalonTM specializes in a variety of hair techniques for natural hair clients, those going from permed hair to natural hair, braids, locks, caramel treatments for those who want the perm look without the chemical, and much more. Island Design Salon™ is the Guru for hair styling, hair care and hair maintenance.
